STRENGTHENING THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION : SIGNING OF PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT BETWEEN BIANCO AND CSOs IN MAHAJANGA
Mahajanga, April 22, 2026 – A significant step forward in the Fight Against Corruption (FAC) was taken this Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in Mahajanga. The Territorial Directorate of the Independent Anti-Corruption Bureau (BIANCO) in Mahajanga formalized its partnership with civil society by signing partnership agreements with each of the eight (8) Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) present.
The agreements were initialed separately with the eight committed CSOs and representative from the region, including: the Anti-Corruption CSO Coalition of Boeny (COACB), Antenaigny Association, AVENIR Madagascar Association, the Fikambanan'ny Mpikabary Malagasy FIMPIMA or the Malagasy Orators Association in Mahajanga, the Fikambanan’ny Zanaky ny Mpanjaka, Zanak’Andriana ary Doria eto Boeny or the Association of Royal Descendants , Nobles and Doria in Boeny (FIZADEBO) , the National Observatory for Human Rights (Observatoire National des droits de l'Homme – ONDH) , Justice and Peace (Justice et Paix), and the GOSOC KOMANGA platfom .
This ceremony, held in the meeting room of BIANCO Mahajanga, forms part of the operational framework of the new National Anti-Corruption Strategy (SNLCC) 2025–2030. Its objective is to formalize and strengthen the synergy between the public institution and civil society actors.
This initiative establishes a tailored framework for collaboration with each partner, recognizing the specific nature of their actions and expertise. Each entity expressed its willingness to work in close coordination. This strategic alliance aims to enhance efforts in prevention, awareness-raising, and combating corrupt practices in the Region.
Through these joint commitments, BIANCO Mahajanga and each CSO formalize a strategic alliance to strengthen prevention, awareness, and repression of corruption for the development of the Region.
