Visite du DG du BIANCO à Antsiranana

The working visit of Director General of BIANCO to Antsiranana

During an official visit to the northern part of the country, the Director General of the Independent Anti-Corruption Bureau (BIANCO), accompanied by the Prefect of Antsiranana and the Acting Head of the DIANA Region, chaired a meeting on January 28, 2026, in Antsiranana. The session brought together representatives of vital forces of the Region.

In his opening remarks, the Prefect, representing the audience, congratulated the Director General on his appointment as head of the national anti-corruption agency and announced the commitment of local authorities and all actors to work closely with BIANCO toward a broad mobilization in the fight against corruption.

In his speeches, the Director General emphasized that the Agency he leads, which enjoys operational independence, carries out the missions entrusted to it under the anti-corruption law: educating the public, providing guidance on corruption prevention, and above all, investigating alleged acts of corruption brought to its attention, affecting both “big fish” and “small fish” alike. Defending the record of BIANCO since his appointment, he pointed out that the institution is far from being a drain on the national budget, given that more than 250 billion ariary in damages were uncovered through investigations conducted in 2025 alone.
