International Anti-Corruption Day : National celebration held today in Antananarivo
Confirming its commitment to implementing the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), Madagascar celebrated International Anti-Corruption Day ( IACD) on December 9, 2025, under the theme "Uniting with Youth Against Corruption: Shaping the Integrity of Tomorrow."
Held in the conference room of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Anosy and led by three Senior Advisors for the Refoundation of the Republic of Madagascar : Colonel Thierry Rampanarivo, Colonel Marcellin Zafitasondry Ranoelson, and Lieutenant-Colonel Gervais Andriamiarisoa ,the event was attended by several members of the Government, Parliamentarians, Leaders of entities comprising the Anti-Corruption System, Members of the diplomatic corps, Private sector and Civil society actors, Journalists, and youth representatives.

The speakers primarily focused their speeches on the urgent need to effectively combat corruption, which hinders the development of the country, and the necessity of involving young people more in the fight against corruption so they can participate in building a society founded on dignity, justice, and integrity.

The ceremony was particularly marked by three major events: *the signing of partnership agreements (BIANCO – Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – on improving the issuance of university degrees, " FOSIKA Operation ," on the one hand, and BIANCO – International Organization of la Francophonie (IOF) – on promoting the fight against corruption in various strategic sectors such as justice, land, civil registration, and education, on the other); **the collective submission of Asset and Economic Interest Declarations (DPIE) by those subject to the requirement from various ministries; and ***the exhibition of fight against corruption achievements by the dedicated Anti-Corruption structures at the ministerial level ( STAC).
