A practical capacity-building training to Strengthen the Technical and Operational Skills of BIANCO’s Investigators in Mahajanga
A practical capacity-building training session for operational investigators of the Independent Anti-Corruption Bureau (BIANCO) in Mahajanga was held on Wednesday, 26 November 2025. Scheduled to run for five days, this activity is supported by the Project for Strengthening Governance through Digitalization (PREGODI).

The training was officially opened by the Director General of BIANCO, Mr. Gaby Nestor RAZAKAMANANTSOA, in the presence of the PREGODI representative, Ms. Lalaotiana Francia RAVAONORO, highlighting the strategic importance given to strengthening the capacities of regional teams. This initiative primarily aims to improve investigators’ performance through the adoption of more advanced investigative techniques. The objective is to optimize investigation results, both in quality and quantity, in order to meet the growing demands in the fight against corruption.

This training also serves as a prelude to the event “Rodorodon’ny Fanambaram-pananana”, which will take place on Friday, 28 November 2025. The event is specifically dedicated to the collection of asset declarations, the sensitization of citizens and public officials, and registering all individuals subject to asset declaration in Mahajanga. It represents an important step in promoting transparency within public administrations. Indeed, BIANCO continues its efforts toward the digitalization of asset declarations in order to modernize asset-investigation processes and strengthen the effectiveness of controls.
Through this initiative, BIANCO in Mahajanga reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the professionalization of its teams and to fully engaging in the national momentum toward digitalization in the service of transparency and good governance.
