Celebration of African Anti-Corruption Day (AACD) in Madagascar
On 11 July 2025, Madagascar celebrated the African Anti-Corruption Day (AACD), marking the adoption of the African Union Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption (AUCPCC). To mark this day, anti-corruption actors gathered at the HAVORIA Auditorium in Anosy, in the presence of the President of the Integrity Safeguard Committee (CSI) : Jean Louis ANDRIAMIFIDY, the African Union Political Advisor: Bruno Touré, and Ms. Salohy RANDRIANARISOA, the representative of the Ministry of Justice.
As part of the event, a conference-debate was held under the theme of the AACD 2025: “Promoting Human Dignity in the Fight Against Corruption”, organized by the Anti-Corruption System (SAC). Participants included Mr. Gaby Nestor RAZAKAMANANTSOA, Director General of the Independent Anti-Corruption Bureau (BIANCO) and SAC representative; Mr. Andria RAZAKANDREMA, Head of Dedicated Anti-Corruption Structures (STAC) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and STAC representative; Ms. Shleythia ABRAHAM, representative of the Integrity and Honesty Networks (RHI); Ms. Bakolalao RAMANANDRAIBE, representative of civil society organizations; and Pastor Hubert RAKOTOARIVONY, representative of religious and moral leaders.
A competition for the best exhibition stands was also organized. The first prize was awarded to the STAC of the Ministry of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene; the second prize went to the STAC of the Ministry of the Interior; and the third prize to the STAC of the Ministry of Public Security.
