Mahajanga : The National Gendarmerie strengthens its capacity in the fight against corruption
Elements of the National Gendarmerie in Mahajanga gathered on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Akory Aly Hall for a training session aimed at strengthening their capacity and experience in the fight against corruption.

The training was led by General Lys Hervé SOAMIAKATRA RAZANAKARIVELO, Director of the Anti-Corruption and Complaints Processing structure (Direction de la Lutte contre la Corruption et du Traitement des Doléances – DLCCTD). The senior officer of the National Gendarmerie covered the key concepts that participants need to know in the field of the fight against corruption , including the Anti-Corruption Structure (STAC) within the Gendarmerie, the legislative and regulatory framework governing the fight against corruption, the definition of corruption, its causes and consequences, as well as the role of the National Gendarmerie in combating corruption, among other topics. General Lys Hervé SOAMIAKATRA RAZANAKARIVELO and his colleagues also took the opportunity to introduce the DLCCTD and share the Internal Anti-Corruption Policy (PILCC) and the National Gendarmerie Code of Conduct.

The Independent Anti-Corruption Bureau (BIANCO) Mahajanga also contributed its experience during the training. The sharing focused primarily on education and prevention of corruption particularly through the examination of corruption and similar offences.
This training forms part of the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (SNLCC), the General Policy of State for Refoundation (PGE-R), and the National Gendarmerie PILCC.
