MEETING WITH CSOs AND SIGNING OF PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENTS
Toamasina, July 8, 2026 – As part of the week-long celebration of African Anti-Corruption Day (AACD) , the Independent Anti-Corruption Bureau (BIANCO) organized a meeting with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the Atsinanana Region, culminating in the signing of partnership agreements with anti-corruption coalitions from Toamasina, Vavatenina, and Analanjirofo.

Signed in the presence of the Director General of BIANCO, these agreements aim to clarify the roles and responsibilities of CSOs and strengthen their capacity in the fight against corruption. The discussions allowed participants to share their on-the-ground experiences and the challenges related to their involvement in mobilizing the public in their areas of operation on the one hand, and their role as interpellators and denunciators on the other hand.

On this occasion, the Director General of BIANCO reiterated the crucial role played by CSOs in citizen oversight , reporting of corruption and the alerting of the competent authorities. He also commended their commitment and determination to advance integrity and good governance in Madagascar.
