A new training module on the fight against corruption for Master's students at the University of Toamasina

Toamasina, July 7, 2026 – As part of the week-long celebration of African Anti-Corruption Day (AACD) , various initiatives are being implemented to promote a culture of integrity and good governance. Among the flagship initiatives is the design of a new training module aimed at Master’s students at the University of Toamasina.

This project, supported by the International Organization of La Francophonie (IOF) and the Embassy of Switzerland in Madagascar,  aims to strengthen the knowledge and capacities of future professionals and leaders in the fields of ethics, integrity, and accountability. The objective is to instill in students the fundamental values ​​of responsibility, transparency, and accountability, in order to foster the emergence of a new generation of leaders committed to the fight against corruption.

The workshop dedicated to the development of this module was held in Toamasina on July 7 and 8, 2026, and was jointly facilitated by the Directorate of Education and Prevention of the Independent Anti-Corruption Bureau (BIANCO) and the President of the University of Toamasina. It brought together lecturers from the University of Toamasina and student representatives, whose contributions helped enrich the pedagogical content of the future module.

Through this initiative, BIANCO and its partners reaffirm their commitment to promoting  integrity education as a key pillar for the development of responsible citizenship within higher education .
