Launch of the “Fighting corruption through education and youth” project

Antananarivo, 2 June 2026 –   The ceremony for the signing of the grant agreement and the launch of the project entitled “Fighting corruption through education and youth” was held  this day at the  Independent Anti-Corruption Bureau (BIANCO)  headquarters in Ambohibao. Supported by  the International Organization of La Francophonie (IOF)  and the Swiss Confederation, this project is part of the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (SNLCC) 2025–2030. It aims to strengthen education and the mobilization of young people in the fight against corruption.

In his opening speech, the Director General of BIANCO emphasized that this is the third grant awarded to the Institution within the past two years. According to him, this support reflects the confidence and continued commitment of technical and financial partners to BIANCO and to the the fight against corruption in Madagascar.

In the presence of the Director of the Anti-Corruption Structure within the Presidency of the Refoundation of the Republic and representatives of the concerned ministries and public entities, the project's main areas of intervention were presented. These include strengthening education and youth mobilization through academic training modules to be incorporated into university curricula, promoting integrity within the public service through specific modules to be integrated into the programmes of major training institutions, as well as implementing communication and awareness-raising campaigns through the media and social networks.

The Director General finally recalled that achieving sustainable and high-impact results depends on strengthened synergy among all stakeholders involved in this common fight against corruption.
