Capacity building for the Local Development Fund in the fight against corruption
The Territorial Directorate of the Independent Anti-Corruption Bureau (BIANCO) in Antananarivo organized a training session for staff of the Local Development Fund (LDF) on March 31 and April 1, 2026, in collaboration with d the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). This capacity-building programme, held at the LDF headquarters in Anosy, brought together around sixty participants to address crucial stakes in education and prevention of corruption.
The initiative primarily aimed to strengthen the commitment of the LDF and its targets to promoting a culture of transparency and integrity. Through a participatory and interactive approach, the topics covered equipped staff with the necessary tools to carry out their sovereign missions within Decentralized Territorial Collectivities (DTCs).
The workshop highlighted the strong commitment of LDF staff to becoming more actively involved in the fight against corruption. In line with the 2025–2030 National Strategy, this synergy of action now positions communes as strategic levers for promoting exemplary local governance and sustainable communal development. This initiative reflects a shared ambition to make good governance the cornerstone of territorial administration.
