Public security and transparency: A strong signal from Judicial Police Officers through the submission of asset and economic interest declarations (DPIE)
On 27 February 2026, a significant milestone was achieved in strengthening transparency within the National Police. Led by Controller General of Police in Madagascar, Marinjaha VAVITAFIKA, Chief Coordinator of the General Inspectorate of the National Police, Judicial Police Officers (OPJ) from the Ministry of Public Security collectively submitted their Declarations of Assets and Economic Interests (DPIE) at the headquarters of the Independent Anti-Corruption Bureau (BIANCO) .
This strong gesture reflects a clear will to place integrity and accountability at the core of the performance of sovereign duties. In her address, the General Coordinator reaffirmed her personal commitment, as well as that of all her colleagues, to resolutely advance the fight against corruption. She emphasized that strict compliance with the legal obligation to submit DPIE constitutes a key mechanism for promoting transparency, strengthening professional ethics, and sustainably restoring public trust in the National Police.
For his part, the Director General of BIANCO commended the voluntary and responsible initiative taken by the delegation. He recalled that integrity, transparency, and public trust are not merely principles, but essential foundations of any credible institution. This collective action therefore demonstrates a positive momentum and a shared commitment to fostering more virtuous governance.
